Strong BUY - extremely oversoldSimple math..... Canopy Growth deal when closed converts each Acreage share to 0.5818 Canopy Growth shares. Even at the current Canopy price during this massive MJ sector sell off, that means today each Acreage share is worth almost $14, at the time the deal was struck it was $24. 99% of each companies shareholders voted in favor of the deal.
The deal is contingent on federal legalization, and they picked Acreage for a reason - former Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner and ex Massachusetts Governor, William Weld are on the BOD. You better believe their political ties/relationships run deep to push this through sooner rather than later.
This is a massive medium term arb play. Nothing is guaranteed, but where this is trading today, it’s pretty damn close to a guaranteed triple.
