Acasti Pharma Inc. is a Canada-based late-stage biopharma company with drug candidates addressing rare and orphan diseases. The Company is targeting three underserved orphan diseases: GTX-104, an intravenous infusion targeting subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a rare and life-threatening medical emergency, in which bleeding occurs over the surface of the brain in the subarachnoid space between the brain and skull; GTX-102, an oral mucosal spray targeting ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T), a progressive, neurodegenerative genetic disease that primarily impacts children causing severe disability; and GTX-101, a topical spray, targeting postherpetic neuralgia, a persistent and often debilitating neuropathic pain caused by nerve damage from the varicella zoster virus (shingles). The Company’s clinical assets have each been granted Orphan Drug Designation by the FDA, which provides seven years of marketing exclusivity post-launch in the United States, and additional intellectual property protection.

RE:There is something wrong or fishy
They certainty knew about ATM when they released their 'no material information' PR in Dec when the stock action raised eyebrows. Francine, the market in general is highly corrupt, rigged, gamed - however you want to label it. Stock values for many companies are not based on their realistic ability to succeed and make a profit. The system is highly financialized with cheap credit not true capital that is acquired via prudent saving. A company like Acasti would be near zero in a reasonable capital market. Their prospects are minimal due to mismanagement and perhaps not the product but the market price should be reflected in that mismanagement and not by ultra hyper speculative trading activity by a bunch of stupid millenials with their stupid rocket ship emojis. The market can stay irrational for quite some time as long as the liquidity is available which as one consequence allows ATM scams to bail out companies and preserve the CEOs fat compensation. One thing is certain it will all end badly. There are only two possible outcomes now; 1. CBs keep 'printing' massively to keep system afloat which will ultimately lead to the end game of the sovereign debt crisis we are in now, or 2. The law and policy makers cut that liquidity and the system suffers massive pain. Yes peoples RRSPs (mostly stocks) and house prices will decline but more importantly stability will return. The gamers on Wall Street don't want this though. Volatility creates money making opportunities, stability does not. They have a nice racket on the go and the politicians in their pocket. They will continue with option 1 until they can't any longer in which case the end result will be much worse than option 2 would have given us. BTW option 1 widens the wealth gap , option 2 narrows it.
