RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:No hope of recovery for Armtec
Perhaps the new office is part of the Brookfield bail out deal.  With all the money Armtec ships to Brookfield maybe its to cut back on the transfer costs -- Concord is closer than Guelph.  Maybe its jso that Armtec can attract more tech type talent that knows even less about managing a construction material company.  The real reason is to be closer to the people that are ultimately going to break up the company and sell it.  I have heard there is a mandate to get rid of some companies within the group but again the value of the assets for sale is no where near what the company needs to sell them for.  Anyone thinking of buying needs to know that this is one of the few times I would tell someone to "greenfield" a plant over acquiring via purchase.  Remember too that during restructing Armtec gunned all the young talent in favour of keeping older employees that were too expensive to pay out.  So anyone buying the assets buys the burden of large package costs.

I wonder if Mark Anderson says "uncle" Brookfield would give the company a chance to get off the mat??  I hope not and don't believe they would for a second.  Funding Armtec's debt under the terms that they did is one of the best structured deals I've ever seen.  And that's where the story should end -- A tale of two companies -- one that knows its business very very well and the other that has no idea of what it is or why it even exists...#armtec  #t.arf
