If you cannot increase the earnings then reduce the share count. IBM hadbeen doing that for years - the revenues have been going down each year. Not sure if they are still doing it. TickerTwit wrote: Mr. Henry,
If you want to find some stocks that have NCIB's in progress, there are many. Pick a company name, google name+NCIB, and check SEDAR filings on any hits.
As for some I have owned, Callidus (do not confuse their current NCIB with their past SIB; the latter is a much different thing and did in fact deliver a share price increase) and Sandvine are two examples. Neither of their NCIB's had any discernable effect on share price.
