Q3 Results After Market

I think there are a few things that could happen to drive the share price higher after results (aside from announcing a new investment):

- The writedown of SM is correctly excluded from Adj EPS given it's a one-time, non-cash charge
- Alaris reiterates how immaterial SM is to its overall value (2% of cash flow)
- Alaris has received or will receive a cash pymt >$5M from SM as a result of cash arbitration
- There are no negative updates on any of its investments (a +ve update would be even better)
- Adj EPS is in-line with consensus (a beat would be even better)
- BONUS - Alaris raises its dividend

Aggirl7, properly posted. Thank you very much.   I personally think the bashers wanting cheaper shares have beat the SP down much too low. It will return after the financials are released this evening.

Initial guess is............. down day tomorrow at the open. Not a pretty 9 month comparable. I only hold a small position, which I've had for a year or so, just looking to break even, get out, and put my money elsewhere. Guessing I will have to wait a little longer to break-even after this news release. Any other thoughts out there? glta

If history is any guide Alaris will be subjected to yet another psychotic sell-off at the open. IMO we'll be sitting at $18 and change by the end of the day.

It behaved as predicted.

they need to say that they have bought preferred shares in a weed company. at should be enough for a double. /sarc It is amazing that the stock can drop on the same news multiple times. Not normal at all.  This stock is a perfect example of how the market runs. Companies that have no revenue have massive multiples and this one is traing pretty cheap.

My thoughts? Don't put your shares on the bid just yet. I think you may be very wrong.

An ER with no positive surprises but with all the expected bad known news/writedowns. Anything can happen but expect bad reaction tomorrow. They have the next few months to announce something positive. 7 positive and 2 negative exits is not something to boast about but I guess the management prefers to look back when there is not much to look forward to?

Glad they wrote it all off. Death by a thousand cuts (negative updates) was getting old. Already priced in imo, but this is Alaris so trade away and above all have fun !

I agree ... get these one time writes out of the way and the next quarters will look a lot better. I have a bit of cash to add to my dividend positions, so perhaps if their is some retail panic selling tomorrow I will have a chance to deploy it here.
