I assume this months payout is safe, but who knows what will happen next? It would be reassuring if we had at least some type of message from the CEO of the compasny, after all we shareholders have been keeping him in cigars & scotch for a long time !! They just did a conference call where they said the run-rate for the dividend is a payout of 94% and that they expect to be able to pay it out all year long.

They own prefs, technically they get paid no matter what. Practically, if the business they hold prefs are in trouble for a long time, then they might stop paying the prefs. Still, the latest news which is fairly fresh is that Alaris believes their payout ratio is supposed to be upheld this year. It may change, but that's all we know right now.
