RE:Agnico

RE:AgnicoI agree easycoder, it's very possible Agnico Eagle is interested in Alexandria's properties. The gold mining industry has been extremely reluctant to spend money on exploration for a very long time, which makes Alexandria's low-risk exploration potential exceptionally valuable. So, it's quite possible the BoD is entertaining multiple offers, which is very good for AZX shareholders.

If Probe Metals offers a lowball deal while Agnico gives a better premium, then I'm not so cynical to believe the BoD would avoid the better deal. Outside of a hostile takeover, which still seems unlikely, multiple bidders would ensure a good floor for what is offered. I believe the underlying assets are significantly undervalued by the market, which makes an outsider willing to pay a decent premium to the current share price a good possibility.
