OSB producers are giving back

Looks like Norbond came out with Q1 financials today. They have started up a quarterly dividend which should prompt other companies to follow the lead.

Amazingly, they made $1.27 /share and are giving out 60c in a quarterly variable dividend.

Using the same benchmarks and profit margins. ANS should make about .37c per share and can also come out with a .15c quarterly dividend. Because of ANS weaker financial position, I would hazard to guess a 5c dividend may be coming our way.

We should see a small pop tomorrow in share price.

If you are right on this M you have my vote for Investor of the Year! I wonder what Brookfield would think of a dividend payout? I guess it would be in their interests or they may prefer to see the money used for future growth....my guess is the latter. They will need money, presumably, to get their High Level mill restarted and this could deter them from starting a dividend now........but I ...more

Yeah nice pop on the share price!  Good call on that one.

The ANS pumper is now bearish.  What a joke you are

don't you think that ANS will get a pop after the earnings report? I am thinking of adding to A until then and selling some afterwards....I stil think A is a good long-term buy and hold but it could drop a bit in the summer.....of course all of this is based on the assumption that the US economy will continue to show anemic growth...it could tank if it becomes apparent that QE is not working ...more

BZH reported and is up  $2.00. Below average sales figures since 08 in the US means housing must rebound. Short term traders sell on momentum, but ANS is a long term story!

Nothing "must" rebound.  You are a fool if you think that.  ANS had a great run.  This stock has petered out.  Even the pumpers are leaving.  This can't push through $4.

Haha,,,,yes how convenient you sold at the top....

Don't agree necessarily with chart reading as a predictive tool F (although I find Fibonnaci theory fascinating) but certainly agree with your conclusions....thanks for the feedback!

I doubt he has.  He likes to play for the Big Runs.   Don't matter if it is going the wrong direction still a good run.   Price is fast coming to a cross road either break through the upper trend line or descend through the 50 Ma.  Rupturing the 50 to the down side may lead to hitting support around  $3.50.     The next below ...more
