Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:RRSP to TFSA question

RE:RE:RRSP to TFSA questionI don’t know what your income is but I did what you are asking about a few years ago. My RRSP was growing crazy so I deregistered 40 K, gave the government 17K as withholding tax and transferred stocks in kind totaling 23K.  If you are between 92 and 134 K income for the year ( including what you deregister ) you need to pay 26% for the year.  If you go over 134 K you will pay 30%.  You can pay as much as you want in withholding tax but it counts as income as well as the amount you transfer.  Today my tax free account is 500 K so call me stupid for paying 17K up front.....  just saying.  It worked for me
