Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:So you're telling me...

RE:So you're telling me...Brent, it is amazing to me that over the years we have disagreed on so much, but here we are aligned.  This should have been a Diageo type play and not a BD in my opinion as well.  Vic works in mysterious ways.  Why he has not shored up his position with a kick-a$$ Constellation type partner by now is beyond me.  I would have thought he's got a good enough story to delivery this rather than  what we got.  Overall, I'm not all that upset about the raise given it's size and that it is raised at a decent price, but I just see this as a missed strategic opportunity and I don't quite understand why Vic has not delivered us to the promised land yet...althought I think he might be close...I sure as hell hope he is close to solidifying his position as the #2 operator in the world and I don't think he gets there all on his own.  My one issue with Vic is that he looks like he might have a bit of a stubborn streak in him by how he talks.  He talks pretty tough at times and I hope that his stubbornness does not hurt the share price long term.  As far as I'm concerned he needs a world class partner to get to #2 and keep his position and I sure hope he thinks the f*cking same.
