Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

For this reason and the hiring of Jakob and others I am still leaning towards a Diageo deal.

Also Diageo has issued a bond recently maybe for this purpose.

Nothing except maybe some speculation that Altria has visited APH tells me that Altria is in the mix

JJ , I like and agree with your post . I am sure there are many of us who agree that a Diageo JV with Aphria will soon be announced and I really expect that it will be next week.
Vic has Aphria so strategically and strongly positioned for the global cannabis market and we just have to be patient and wait for the fireworks to start.
I have my seat and popcorn.

My post was to show that APH shows proof that they want to develop the bev market.  I would not speculate on WHEN a deal would happen but I would lean that IF one happened I would be more so in the favour of it happening with Diageo or another bev maker then Altria.   I would never say it will happen this week or next week or next month...  that is just setting oneself up for disappointment.
