Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. the lack of institutional investment in APHA is the problem

the lack of institutional investment in APHA is the problem

Aphria Inc. (APHA) Top Holders

Institutional investors currently hold around $4 million or 0% in APHA stock. Look at its top three institutional owners. Hellman Jordan Management Co Inc /Ma/ owns $3.25 million in Aphria Inc., which represents roughly 0.15% of the company’s market cap and approximately 81.13% of the institutional ownership. Similar statistics are true for the second largest owner, Mcgowan Group Asset Management, Inc., which owns 24,888 shares of the stock are valued at $256 thousand. The third largest holder is Highpoint Advisor Group Llc, which currently holds $130 thousand worth of this stock and that ownership represents nearly 0.01% of its market capitalization.

This is a problem. Without institutional investment the SP will be volatile.  As a result many major multinational would not want to invest in such a highly volatile stock?  The SP is $20 one week then the next week it is $15 then down to $12 then back up to $16 etc.. A multinational and their shareholders would be reluctant to do deal with such a company until they can stablize the SP. This can only be done if more institutions hold APHA stock.

How APHA we attact more institutions to invest? A good PR program is needed and management needs to start knocking on more doors in NY.  Look at Bruce.  Just this week he does an interview from the floor of the NYSE.  My guess he was not in NY just to do the interview.  My guess he is knocking on more doors in NY for institutions to hold WEED.

Vic and company need to get going!
