Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Problem with Aphria is this:

Yes, APHA certainly need (and deserve) a big partner. However, a big parter usually comes with a big CEO and this is exactly the problem. Namely, the big ego of Aphria CEO cannot leave in peace with big  CEO of any potential partners, so, no big deal was possible so far... This situation has been recognised by the market makers who were misled by the Aphria CEO big time, so, we didn’t have to wait too long for punishment. This leaves the company BoD with two choices - to turn against their CEO and find a more appropriate character to lead; or to accept quietly a second tier market position, without partnership and fully dependent on banks. Hope that none of this is going to happen and that the Aphria CEO will find a way to make peace with the market and soon. One thing should be remembered - reliance on quality of fundamentals will not be enough to turn our fortune - we may remain undervalued for many more years as we were in the last few.

There have been talks on this forum that a deal could happen before the American Thanksgiving. It's proven that it is not the case ....... I am long, but won't be surprised that the SP will get punished.
