Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

I so hope the dominoes begin to look up...perhaps Canada Post getting back to work, supply chains improving, Health Canada getting better staffed, and some greenhouses coming on line and starting to produce in time to stock Ontario stores will have some impact.  Who would have thought that being sold out would be "bad news"?  Imagine how Apple would be trading if they stated they expected their iPhones to sell out each month.  Life does not always add up the way you would think.

As for my tongue in cheek remarks toward Atheena...she knows me, we have corresponded offline and I truly believe her to be one of the most logical and well informed APHA investors on this site.  Anything I write in public is occasionally a jab at all of us who turn to this venue for insights.  BTW, I also have had interactions with DueDiligence and DareDevil...two other solid people who like most of us, are just trying to make sense of some things that do not appear to be making any sense at this point.  I recently responded to your note Wilson.  Hope it helps.

I sincerely hope this grind makes an about face sometime soon.  I think both the pumpers and the bashers are not ferreting out any new news.  I've dug deep into the Aphria website and have read their Annual Reports from cover to cover.  I am absolutely gobsmacked this stock is trading under 15 dollars...but Mr. Market is what it is and I will continue to hold until I lose all hope...in Nortel's case I held until the very end.  I sure wish I did not find myself thinking similar thoughts close to 20 years later.

BTW, I understand the lobster notes were not intended as a barb to this board.  I am okay with that.  Speaking for myself I am ultrasensitive to anything that might be construed as someone laughing at me...I already feel pretty stupid for not listening to those who stated there would be a post legalization downdraft.  My wishful thinking had investors all of a sudden seeing the strengths in APHA.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.

But I am not wrong about APHA's strengths, I am wrong to think there would would have been a sudden realization by investors.  Holding...but not having much fun.

It's good to hear about the legislationt but not sure at this moment how much help it's going to help on the quarterly numbers ... The backlog is so significant that customers ordering items via web-site still needs to have a VERY LONG wait.  Regardless, it's still better than not doing anything.

Canada Post has said it could take several weeks – even stretching into 2019 – to clear the backlog that has built up, especially at major sorting centres in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
