Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. Short Attack

Short Attack
We started buying Aphria over a year ago and have been adding to it ever since. In August, we sold a portion of our other stocks and invested that money in Aphria also. Our investment isn’t close to what some of you hold but significant enough for us. My husband did a great deal of research into Aphria before we bought and really liked their management team.

The recent short attack, along with the falling prices before this past week, have been tough to see - watching our investment dwindle down. We’re not terribly far from retirement and of course we invested money we could afford to lose . . . But who wants to lose?

Some feelings that have hit me this week:

1) Fear - the Report was scary. It put fear of what Aphria had done into not just us, but many. Then there were all the new posters on stockhouse and every other board fanning the flames. But there were also posters that were the voice of reason on here and that was helpful.

2) Sadness - I watched people that I have been following on Stockhouse being devastated and selling at huge losses.

3) Indecision - my husband and I decided to stick with Aphria through it all and decided to add as much as we could to our position.

4)  Confidence - in the long term I believe we have made the right decision. I have learned much more about Aphria’s foreign holdings and they’re impressive (see link below). I won’t go so far as to thank the scumbags that wrote that report, and I won’t use the words I’m really thinking about them, but Because of them I have learned more about Aphria. Now we start the slow climb back up which may be more exciting this time after going through this past week.

5) Anger - damn shorters!  This was NOT a fun week and I had no clue there was even such a thing as a short attack.  We have learned a great deal since we started investing and have been having fun. Watching the stock go down, we’ve never been too worried because we’re long term holders, but damn it, this was scary!

There is some excellent information available in the link below. GLTA.   JMK
