STARTING TO WONDEROkay, so the Altria investment in Cronos bouyed the sector for a decent short term bounce - even that bloom seems to be wilting on the vine now as the sector continues to struggle and validate lofty valuations.. Here at Aphria I`m starting to think that even with a strong rebuttal it will still be "he said - she said" for a long time and the stench will linger. If they offer full disclosure along with a massive defammation suit then the market will be appeased. Even tonight as I was watching the news about Donald Trump and Micheal Cohen, the lawyer in the interview was saying - your not innocent if your lawyer misdirected you by telling you it was all legal. So Trump said yes, pay the sluts out to hide my affairs as this information would be detrimental to my Presidential bid. Cohen said it`s all good, now Cohen is going to jail for 3 years and spilling the beans on his boss who he once said he would take a bullet for. At first I thought the delay in the rebuttal was well founded - let`s make sure we get it right. but with every passing day this is becoming more and more speculative. This combined with TLS and general market malaise may not provide the catalyst for that impressive s/p bounce back we are all hoping for. I would argue that most will sweat it out over the w/e and if nothing is delivered by Mondays open....well, many will capitulate. maybe Aphria stays right here in this volatile trading range which will offer ample opportunity for the day traders to capitalize on the 15% daily swings. This will hinder the s/p recovert even more moving forward - in conclusion - make no mistake. The damage has been done and it appears there is no quick fix. Hoping I`m wrong and hoping Monday morning the tide really turns for the better, a lot of wealth has been erased here but seasoned investors will tell you that speculation is gambling not investing.
