Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Just checking in

Just checking inSo...how's it going?  Not well I see.  Sorry to hear this as most of you longs don't deserve the beating your taking.  I just wanted to let those of you who I've chatted with in the past to know that I'm completely out of Canadian MJ stocks...I only hold LHS (long term hold) and I think I'll stay out of Canada moving forward.  The governement of Canada is an absolute albatross around investors necks.  I visited the Brampton location (one of very few open LEGAL stores) and it was a sh!t show.  Nothing worth buying was still in stock.  Just horrible low end products for the same money.  Ask for Broken Coast?  Yeah...right...never in stock. The employees buy it up immediately because everyone wants the primo stuff.  CBD creams and 1:1 drops?  Good luck again.  The black market will always thrive here because the governement is too greedy and tight arsed.  I think that some of the smaller players out west may have a chance if they stay private and build based on quality like Tantalus Labs.  PS-great interview with Dan Sutton on BNN...check it out.
In time the only ones left will have a ton of money and buy the rest out for peanuts.  I say Cronos, Aurora and Canopy will survive....and I'm not certain about Aurora...as they don't have the deep pockets that the other two have.  The losses will continue to mount as the government will argue about Cannabis every 4 years....and make it ripe for when the Americans legalize and wipe the market up in short order.  If I had to bet, I'd take Cronos as Altria is the biggest fish in a crowed and polluted ocean of pretenders.
I'm not following the market much anymore.  I think the hype is over and reality has set in.  All investments now should be seen as long term in Canada.  I think by 2022 the US players will be in full domination of the market.  Many of the small players will be broke and their shares will be diluted to death by the constant financing.  Aphria should have been ok with the money they raised.  I wonder how much was pilfered from the shareholders...I wonder if they'll ever get to the bottom of that.  I hope the lawyers find the culprits and destroy their financial lives.  I doubt it but I can hope because many of us lost a lot here....not just money but time and energy.
I heard that one of the main guys who is very thic has multiple accounts overseas that are in question now.  It could be all BS...who knows...rumours are spread and the truth always seems to be the loser.  I know it was for Aphria.  Not much truth.  Just a lot of BS.  The money spent on NUU and LATAM was a colossal destruction of shareholder value.  Almost a BILLION dollars gone.  I know a few people who made a few sheckles as middle men and insiders on these deals...but it just so happens that everyone else lost.  I guess that was just a coincidence.  I'm paranoid.

Anyway, wishing all the non lunatics who have held this stock for too long with only pain as their reward much luck.  I sincerely hope APHA makes it...and if ANYONE deserves to make some cash it is you guys.  For anyone who cares though....sell and move on, there are so many better companies that are on sale right now.  Pick them up cheap and sleep at night.

Regards,

Atheena
