Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Some Facts

Some FactsI just rewatched the BNN interview with Jonathan Rubin of Cannabis Benchmarks.  Here are some of the highlights:

- Wholesale prices have been dropping but are starting to stabilize.

- Average price is $5.83 + $1.14 tax = $6.96 wholesale.

- Dried flower is 7,600 kg /month.  3/4 rec.,  1/4 medical.

- Finished inventory stands at 31,000 kg........ a 4 month supply.

- Unfinish inventory (waiting to be packaged and labelled) is 144,000 kgs.
........a 20 month supply.

- The 3 or 4 biggest producers will be 1.1 million kgs..... a 10 year supply.

- Extracting and exporting will be the key to survival.

- Only 15% - 35% is legal so these numbers should rise as the black market fades.

- Wholesale prices will drop to 1/2 or 1/3 from where they are now.

- Is a day of reckoning coming?....... He says YES

From this, it is evident that only the best will survive. .......Let's hope that Aphria will be one of those.
