Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:ETF Rebalancing & APHA – I think the best is yet to come

RE:ETF Rebalancing & APHA – I think the best is yet to comeNice sleuthing gotta. Looks like most MJ stocks are crossing or have crossed their exponential moving average which they have been bouncing off of for months which cahrman Dan brings up all the time. Onward and upward.

Chart man Dan mentioned recently that some of volume we saw Tuesday on all mj stocks may have been due to ETF rebalancing. However, on Wednesday we had good volume on our own though. I just called Horizon’s to confirm their rebalancing schedule and while they are not able to disclose the exact date, they did tell me that it will be the third week of September. The last time they rebalanced was the end of June, so this will the first opportunity to buy more APHA after the great earnings of Aug 1 and why wouldn’t they? If you see heavy buying the last week of September, watch out for this.

Here is APHA weighting as of Aug 30th Facts sheets for Horizon’s:
HMMJ 7.40% . Assets in this ETF $665,094,214
HMJI 7.81% Assets $13,334,356

Other Monthly Re-balancing ETF's:
-THCX NYSE monthly 7.45% as of Aug 30th  Assets $19,788,630
-SEED Aphria WAS NOT listed top 10 holding as of July 31st. But as of Aug 30th ETF Facts it shows 6.06%!!!  Assets $9,621,000

Another Quarterly ETF:
MJJ Aphria was not listed as a top 10 holding as of July 31st $30,777,430. Perhaps they will buy in Sept as well. I didn't call to ask them.
