Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

But wheres the Money?

But wheres the Money? This is APHA's second facility receiving EU GMP certification. And the first certification helped the bottom line how? Sure, they are expanding globally, clearing regulatory hurdles and maybe, just maybe, this sets up the company for future growth and profit. Still, a near 8% price bump today b/c they received certification? Makes no sense, other than to attribute the price increase to hype. It's not like they reported stellar financial results this month. And they do currently sport $733,713 in long term liabilities. Don't get me wrong; I'm all for the company succeeding. But their future success is just as uncertain today as it was when they reported on Jan 14.
