RE:Irwin Ziggy (and other Irwin bashers): you've been quite vocal about this, so I have a few questions (and comments) for you.
a) You don't like how much he makes. Nor do I. It's disgusting. However, who do you think can/ will replace him at LESS $? Every CEO in my estimation in the US/Canada is a greedy pig. CEO piggery is a societal norm here, unfortunately, unlike in Japan where the CEO is only entitled to make a certain # of times more than the lowest paid employee. Only government action or outright revolution will be able to cap these CEO pigs' salaries. So again: who do you recommend?
b) Indeed, Irwin has overpromised and underdelivered. However, you need to look at the reasons. oh, just a little GLOBAL PANDEMIC (which has disrupted business to some degree in Germany) and bureaucratic B.S. from our pathetic Trudeau run (idiot like his father) socialist backwater country in which they can't even get out licenses to cannabis companies in a timely manner. This in itself has affected our bottom line (not to mention every other company's too)
So what do you propose he do differently?
c) By putting out a petition to remove Simon, you're actually setting up a situation which the evil shorts and bashers can jump on and exploit through mass media, to cause the share price to decrease. Which leads me to wonder: are you actually a shareholder? Or do you have other motis operendi? Imho, it is a mistake to keep harping on this, as it only helps to hurt investor confidence (not mine, however).
d) Simon has turned our company around financially, and made us the #1 cannabis stock in Canada, if not the world. He's already figured out that it will be a while until the US decriminalizes, so we're taking our time in terms of US investment. Which imho is a smart move, because those people are genuine nutters. (they still have the death penalty for instance and guns in nearly every home.) He likens doing anything now in the US to buying a lottery ticket, which makes sense to me. We're not a casino, but a dilligently run company. What do you propose he should do re/ the US?
e) some of you want him promoting (really pumping) the company to enhance SP. But look at what happens to such CEO's....go look at Namaste's history for example and where their SP has been flushed to because of such behaviour. You get SUED by the ambulance chasers in the US (Nutsville). Silence is ALWAYS the best policy, and the best way to burn the shorts in the long run, as good news always comes UNEXPECTED. THAT is Simon's m.o. Do you STILL want him 'pumping' our company? I don't. I want him to keep his pie hole shut and deliver more big REVS. Then the SP will go up.
Please answer these questions. Very curious to hear your comments/opinions.
Good luck to all real longs.
