Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Aphria Proxy Vote

Aphria Proxy VoteI started buying Aphria Dec 30, 2015 @ $1.25. I've continued to buy and sell since then. Still holding a large position.

Yesterday I received a VOTING Instruction Form for Election of Directors at the annual Meeting.

There are 7 nominee's proposed. I've reviewed their histories posted on Aphria website.
Of the 7 nominee's proposed, I'm leaning towards only voting for Tom Looney, former President of Diageo US Spirits & Canada. Tom had full responsibility for the growth and development of the company’s spirits business in the United States & Canada including brands such as Smirnoff, Crown Royal, Baileys, Johnnie Walker, Captain Morgan and Ketel One. Tom was also a member of Diageo’s North American Executive Team.Tom’s career spans 30 plus years in the beverage alcohol industry. Previously, Tom held the position of President, Diageo Beer Company overseeing US sales, finance, marketing and innovation teams.
I believe Tom Looney is a keeper but the other 6 have never been in businesses that can really help Aphria in a strong way.
Simon interviewed yesterday said he is into Branding. Without advertising branding seems wrong to me? They did pick the best name for their cheapest pot 'Bingo'.
Aphria's stock price has been flat since about June, 2020. Carl Merton said after the 4th quarter that a deal for a profitable USA non marijuanna firm would happen by the US elections. November 3rd. That doesn't seem to be happening?

Anyone have any good reasons to vote for the other 6?
