Weak Hands

Low volume is getting retail investors out before a big push near term. There must be a reason why there's been minimal news on this play. Price is being brought down to get better positions.

I agree. What do they call this? Oh "The calm before the storm"  Upcoming catalyst: Financials in 2 to 5 weeks Uplisting to OTCQX in the first quarter of 2021 You know what cracks me up? There are alot of public company's not generating a dime, are in the negative that have market evaluations in billions and then you have AHC that has proven itself to be a multi billion ...more

I think AHC is planning a major new stock offering this year, which may temporarily hold their stock price down or move it lower for a while.

Why would a company that prints money have to raise funds? Right now they should have around $40 million cash on the balance sheet with zero debt. The question isn't how to access capital but rather, what to do with all this capital.

we know they have been printing money since COVID started. Ita not yet clear how that will go afterwards. I think they will be fine but things did change radically on their favour with COVID so we need to see what they do with the windfall. Hopefully they leverage the relationships they built (Eg Costco) with the cash.

I am long on AHC but do have some concerns. I was recently shopping at Costco and Walmart and both places seem to have mountains of unsold hand sanitizers of multiple brands available. Are we being too bullish? Maybe revenues will be down quicker and more than we were expecting? It was already down about 7 million from the previous breakout quarter. Just trying to play devil's advocate.

If you are in Canada, then there may be another explanation for what you saw. You may not have witnessed an oversupply issue, but the rumored, exotic, and rare sightings of a Canadian store that has actually stocked their shelves.

margins on hand sanitizer are going down. It's an easy product to make. Few barriers to entry. They key for AHC will be if they can leverage their relationships with new large customers & expand their listed products to diversify & keep margins
Comment by deleuze68 on Feb 11, 2021 12:05am
There are actually severe barriers of entry. Big box stores are only willing to deal with suppliers that are reliable and can guarantee uninterupted supply of product. Apollo has developed relationships over decades with these stores and proved that they could meet their demand. How many manufacturing facilities in Canada have their own rail spur? This is the premier facility in Canada and ...more

I've been in the industry for 42 years manufacturing both personal care and home care products .. consumer packaged goods. So I know their customers, their consumers, their vendors. Most of the companies I've been with have rail spurs .. both branded & private label. Its arguable that they are premier on the private label side. There are a couple other very good players in North ...more

I agree with deleuze, Apollo does not need to raise any $. This actually poses a challenge to the shares momentum because the retail brokers are not incentivized to cover via research unless there is an I-Banking carrot. And so the retail buying frenzy is absent via  the brokers ramping schemes ahead of a financing. I think this is a great company and am long shares and some warrants. The ...more

You hit the nail on the head with your first paragraph. These 'analysts' have zero motivation right now to cover Apollo and won't until they foresee a large capital raise on the horizon which I can't imagine is going to occur any time soon. I too have a few warrants and am long the stock. This is a very safe story in a world of 100 P/E stocks and "earnings? what earnings ...more

potential investors know the COVID has been great for AHC business. What is not yet known is what happens with AHC after COVID. And that is what people are betting on both ways right now. Some guessing it will go through the roof and sales/earnings will hold/grow and some are betting that sales/earnings will move backwards after COVID. The buyers think that gains will hold and the sellers think ...more
