RE: Innus agreementA  new agreement with Argex is not likely to invalidate existing rights which other companies may already have.  It simply gives Argex exclusivity in the area covered going forward.

Also keep in mind that the land is described as "the subject of ancestral rights claims of the Innus" which means that the Innus don't necessarily have any authority over some or all of the land - it's status may be in dispute with the government and before the courts. That being the case then there's nothing to prevent other companies from simply ignoring the Innu claims and getting permits from the government although that would certainly be risky..
