RTK will be gone soon???

looks like soemone wants to buy RTK and the only player I can think of is their JV partner in the inga/Fireweed play, KEL.

KEL still has good value in their SP so they can easily swing a paper offer for 2.50 plus for RTK in cash and KEL shares.

deal should be annoucne within 30 days while prices are still cheap enought to make it work, plus once the property is consolidated they can save money s well.

good deal for RTK sharesholders if it happens or when it happens

First, an all paper offer from KEL would be a bad deal as KEL is one of the most over priced energy stocks on the market. Second, I can see no reason why KEL would make an offer for RTK as they can enjoy the benefit of Inga/Fireweed without taking it out. Third, KEL would have to assume RTK's balance sheet debt, Fourth, KEL can focus on its other properties while the program at Inga Fireweed ...more

Exactly. Kel has no long term debt good balance sheet.  Could raise some money to do a deal or just issue stock.   Could prob pick it up for 250 a share.

consolidating igna/fireweed and then selling remaining non-core assets is a good financial deal because it consolidates the fireweed asset and it will eliminate the overhead in RTK that now is spent to manage it. makes perfect business sense and reduces costs significatnly and increases margins because we all know plus 75 WTI won't occur for 3-5 years now and every O&G company has to ...more
