Things to consider Nightowl and Mathwiz..... I never said that Arcan hasn't made some mistakes and missteps! They spent too much money on infrastructure too early and put the company behind the 8 ball. Having said that, their land base is fantastic, their infrastructure is now in place and the waterflood rates are good. Its a prime take out for someone with deeper pockets that can tap into the base. Their tax pool is attractive, and when they announced the farm in, this stock rocketed to the mid $1 mark. Where do you think it would go if there was a bidder? I don't see two bigger players sharing the goods...do you? Greedy begets Greedy and sooner or later, this one will go.... it's not easy waiting but maybe trading in and out while you wait might help recover some of your loses...I did this while waiting for connacher in the 40 cent range before it spiked to $1.00. I sold and made 5K the week before it went up.... only to have lost a potential 60K gain for not waiting the weekend! My issue with you nightowl is that you don't help anyone with your information. As much as I may be a rookie ( 20 years investing), it's great to have people find articles, news feeds, memos that help make more informed decisions... even if the decision is to get out.... you don't bring any of that!
