Reserves and Resources

Resources are not proven but still their. 100% drilling success expected for the next 200 Arcan wells drilled at the B.R.L. formation. Payback on each well in 6 or 8 months, with 20 years production. A lot cheaper to bring the crude oil on line than tar sands or ocean wells.

 Ethel pool= 4 wells/section plus 36 sections.
Average 100/bls day per well

Big money --- you figger it out.

I can't possibly tell you how many times I've had this argument... and each time I've been proven correct.  Engineers provide reserves reports as required by law.  Otherwise,  promoters would exaggerate those reserves,  or includeprospective resource as a valuable asset.Prospective resource means undiscovered resource by definition. It does however provide ...more

No wildcat wells being drilled here. ARC has more " TOP PICS" than any other stocks I know with spec risk.. Shares and bonds easily financed. Good40 is 1/2 correct, this is a good day trading stock, with the convertables having good value (profits). Best to be influenced by the analysts and not someone that has 503 people ignoring.

There's no question that a number of analysts jumping on the bandwagon can influence share appreciation... but you have to be quick.  The reason is this,  any anlayst report you read... is sell-side,  meaning they are touting previously purchased shares,  just as you are.  A buy-side analyst report is not available to the general public... because they ...more

ARN has so far been doing everything right-- IMO--has a lot of " GET AHEAD" , no excuses needed. Planning such as proper fracking and multi lease wells (page 20 = 4 pumpers lined up). Other outfits may have been over-fracking to get high initial production that ends up with open channels and the waterflood cannot displace the maximum oil in place.Good40 is still only 1/2 right. Most ...more

Was hoping the Q3 report would be out by now.  Looks like it will be next week.Quite the discussion going on re Arcan's prospective reserves here.I concur that Arcan is priced at a premium relative to their booked reserves. But the potential for significant growth in both production & proven reserves justifies that price premium. As tire9 stated we are dealing with mature field and that ...more

There's no question that this is trading at a premium to the value of proved assets.  The problem Profess,  is thatthe speculative potential is already the biggest part of the price. I'm a veteran with valuing growth companies and as usual,  the price gets ahead of itself,  until investors become comfortable with " Murphy's Law " and the difficulties ...more

I guess  that the idiots at Crescent Point don't follow G40's posts. Imagine buying almost 17 million shares at around this level without the advise of G40. Tisk Tisk. LMAO

Comment by good40 on Nov 18, 2011 7:38pm
They did not buy 17 million shares at this price... they were already the largest holder at 9 million shares and at the report date of July 13 had added another 8 million shares.  A quick check shows that those 8 million shares were over the first 6 months of 2011... therefore most of those shares were much less than the current price. So here you are again huh BioBilly ?   Didn ...more

Undisputable fact. They own 17 million shares. They see something you don't G40. Unless you're short 17 million I'll ride CPG's lead.

The beaverhill lake formation at Swan Hills responds very favorably to modern technology (AS PROVEN ) . Now the tighter formations are being exploited with great success. Payback on total cost of wells about 1year. Land auctions bring in large revenues for Alberta. ARN has dominant position, they say in the presentation.G40 If you don't like the prospects here you can try for shares in the ...more

So if you're such a stock guru, why are you posting on a two bit bullboard with us amatuers? Shouldn't you be running a hedge fund somewhere? Since you are here that means you're not the genius you think you are and that is indisputable.
