Ian Ball performs well on TV .Sadly the host didnt ask him anything about abitibis future ,its revenues and future royalties .Did ask him about the increase in number of shares of Abitibi last year  which was related to shares/options that he was granted to come over from McEwen. Not a very good interview in my opinion .RZZ has had a good run and gzz share price is beginning to creep up .Hopefully by the end of Febuary there will be an upgraded resource at Malartic which should give a better idea as to how much of these reserves lie within abitibis envelope and royalties .

Ian's answer was not the entire story.  Maybe he did not want to throw shade on Glenn.  All of the newly issued shares thru RSU's/options were not allocated to Ian. The company had previously set up a situation, before Ian Ball was hired, where management (mostly Mullan) were to receive a large "success fee" as well as restricted share units and options on top of their ...more

Yeah,  the prior "success fee"  they were due to award was totally freaking OUTRAGEOUS !! Only in Canada would company insiders try and pull that off on  public shareholders and figure they could actually get away with it!   I was not a stockholder at that time, but IF I was,  and it was U.S.listed,  there would have been a shareholder derivitive action for ...more

No problem on Wall St.or Bay St. to pre-arrange a block trade like that.   Good for the folks running our dual listed royalty company GZZ/RZZ. As a small public shareholder of GZZ,  IF the insiders were having to liquidate RRZ stock, options,  RSU's, warrants or whatever paper they were holding over time,  in the open market,  it might have knocked RZZ down a bit ...more

"Ian mentioned acquiring new royalties in the region.  I would love to know what kind of projected rate of return hurdle they require before making an investment in a royalty." Well RZZ had this campaign of aquiring obscure royalties going like 1-2 years ago called 'royalty search'. They offered cash-strapped small explo companies and individuals to cover the costs for ...more

Thanks for the reply. Personally, I thought the royalty search was/is brilliant.  I hope we get information this year of some development activities of the projects in our new royalty areas in the Malartic, I am not enthused by some of the terms in a few of those deals where part of the royalties can be bought down for X dollars (for instance 1 million).  It makes it hard to win big ...more
