modesthat has always been the US modes - economically create a big mess at home and have the military manufacturing sector pull them out of it by getting involved in a conflict abroad. Unfortunately for us all conflicts may not stay abroad in this day and age. the other worry here is that Americans will always keep a war president or party in power. the last thing the Repulicans want is another party coming in right now and exposing all their underhanded and less than legal activities. Wouldn't it be nice if the day of the imperialist thinking was behind us.
Bush and Cheney should be charged with crimes against America for allowing the financial mess in the US thats putting people out on the street and causing them to lose their pensions.
I'd rather see gold at $5 than see another war were a lot of innocent people get hurt.
