Machinations In The LME Nickel Market

Machinations In The LME Nickel Market
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-metals-nickel-ahome/flash-lme-nickel-squeeze-may-be-a-taste-of-things-to-come-andy-home-idUSKCN1PA2E6

I posted this article on the FPX board last month.  The problem with the FPX board  is that there are only a few people participating.  I am not quite the only poster but close to it.  And most of the stuff I post is technical in nature, appealing to a very limited audience.

The lack of interest in FPX is primarily due to the fact that there is zero promotion at this very conservative company.  A company that is frugal and carries on all activity behind the scenes, in secrecy, until such time as they are certain of results and they percive the equity market to be responsive to good news.  The last PR from FPX was mid-September, and the equity market still sucks.

Anyway, nickel price is something in common and the above article from Reuters might be of interest.  It is an admission that games are typical on the LME for commodities that lack large warehouse stocks.  Evidence of this in nickel became apparent mid-January and we will see if the same occurs end of next week.
