Bruce Flatt and Cyrus Manning have the best presentations imo.

Bam is an amazing franchise. BBU is basically selling 25% below stripped NAV.

Great presentation on Clarios, which is their battery business. I bought into this one during the presentation.

I own so much BAM already, I just pit myself on the Dividend Reinvestment Plan.

BAM really could be a Berkshire Hathaway but they need to get rid of stock options. 


Warren Buffet doesn't offer them. That's why his stock doesn't get diluted by greedy executives.

IF Bam really wants to be viewed as best in class they need to also get rid of Partners, which has control of BAM through special class B shares. If they want control, then they should just buy regular shares in the market like everyone else.

Also, why is Jack Cockwell even involved  anymore? They grant him options but at this point he's not driving the bus anymore. Just a over paid figure head imo.

Cockwell is still on the board.  Bam will never be berkshire.  Not that it won't get the same returns or even better especially from here out, it's just a different beast.  Is no different than saying Oaktree won't be berkshire.  Bam is a 2/20 hedge fund,  completely different model than brk.   I agree with you that eventually people will look back at ...more
