GOLD EXPLORATION BEGINS IN URBAN TOWNSHIP QUEBEC Following the agreement between Beaufield Consolidated and Kinross Gold Corp. reported in Stockwatch on Oct. 14, 2003, whereby Beaufield will acquire a 100-per-cent interest in 310 claims or 4,960 hectares, Beaufield has begun its exploration program on the said properties. The work will concentrate on the Rouleau shear where over 25,000 metres of drilling in over 90 drill holes by Falconbridge Limited have outlined what appears to be a significant gold-bearing structure. The holes were drilled in the late 1980s and very little follow-up work has been performed since that time. Falconbridge's 51-per-cent interest was eventually folded into Kinross and today is held 100 per cent by Beaufield. In the program currently under way, 44 kilometres of line cutting to be surveyed by magnetics and induced polarization will cover a 2.5-kilometre by 1.5-kilometre area of the most favourable geology. This will be followed up by diamond drilling followed by a resource analysis of the deposit according to current industry guidelines. The urban area is the site of recent interest following promising gold drill results released by Alto-Fury-Noront on June 25, 2003, with follow-up results released on Oct. 28, 2003. The drill program is continuing.
