High Fives All Around

High Fives All AroundThe Investment boys and girls in Toronto who have been working the BXI file are feeling pretty smug. They managed to get the PP through at 1.85 and gave assurances to their investors that every one who wanted out would get a chance to cash out in two weeks and make a profit.

After the PP they ran it up to over 2.15 with a bit of hype and the whole plan worked like a charm.

Then, like all smart investors, they protected against downside risk by placing their shorts even as the share price went to 2.20. They have been making money from  2.00 all the way down. If ever there was a perfect opportunity for this type of manipulation, counting on the "believers" to stay long and strong, and making money on the way up and on the way down, BXI is a text book example.

I would not be surprised if there are four or five MBA's who have made millions of dollars on BXI in the last three months by hpying it then shorting the stock more or less as described above.

Am I being too cynical?
