RE: This is a legitimate question - IMO...
Good ? gadfly
a JV not likely a "bid" is more likely
answer because A does not want B or C to gain a foothold in the space ahead of them.
On a tax loss basis A could spend 200mm take all the tax losses against their earnings and still make $$$,this will cost a food giant like nestle zero over a 2-3 year period and the upside if they make it work is huge.
If A thinks BXI has done a bunch of heavy lifting and will sell on the cheap, there is value there, key is grabbing the value ahead of B&C. Cannacord is no doubt trying to find the B&C bidder.
why are some smart vultures buying this morning ,because they are all cranking the numbers and determining what kind of a bid they may recieve.
I would suggest greater than.19 cents, but who knows.
on a probability basis you wonder why the insiders were buying stock in the market at 0.16
to think Cannacord is doing this for free is insane, they get paid to find a bid, they also save some face on the clients they pulled in at 1.00 on the last pp if it gets done at anywhere near $1.00,,tell me there is no pressure to get this off their sheet. "Value is a funny thing"
one persons junk is another persons treasure as they say
good luck 2012 will be better I hope
