BXI and Timminco are very different situations
Timminco did ot make economic sense when silicon prices collapsed,it was dead.
BXi has been castrated because they have yet to prove their concept can work commercially,they have also been s-itty managers of sh capital,they have also mislead on numerous occasions and so over promised it was pathetic. Now they seem intent on not promising anything,one extreme to the other.
all that said ,if they can prove to a JV partner that this new process can be scaled up,the economics work and were back to 2.00 in a heartbeat !!!!!!
Timminco was a dead duck so the vulture capital guys will do what they always do nasty debt deals.
