Not true, they actually signed the operators at the plant to long term contracts, which is good!!

Actually, somewhat true. When they went down to 1-2 days production/week, most of the production staff were let go... Schnarr even confirmed this. A number of the support staff also got let go at the same time in order to cut costs. But your long term contract comment is categorically false. I know that for a fact.
