They need to get their employees out of there and write it off ... cut your losses as this will be a massive cash drain they can not afford especially with cost overruns short is the play here

Maybe he did some other stuff for a reason as well. I do not know any details of the hedging other than it supposedly put 500 million in the kitty. Can anyone confirm that this forward sale is for real? If B2 isn't there to mine the gold for one reason or another, do they get to keep the money. I'd wager there is a lot of fine print in that contract. I wonder who bought the gold. I saw

B2Gold accepted the $500 million gold prepayment in exchange for equal monthly deliveries of gold from July 2025 to June 2026 totaling 264,775 ounces ($1,888 per ounce ($500,000,000 / 264,775 ounces)).  With the current price, B2Gold gave up more than $500 per ounce of revenue!!! Rest assured, the financiers would have protected their prepayment advance by having all of B2Gold’s production

Galvanizer, Thanks for posting that info. IMO it doesn't seem like a very good move. Especially in an environment of rising gold prices. I don't quite understand what the stuff regarding the credit facility means. That doesn't appear to imply who bought the gold. Maybe it was a Royalty company. Whatever.

It's a practice that sold gold forward used years ago rather other more conventional sales methods. A future sale  can be dangerous but 1900 is a decent number use it cautiously Clive! Many companies got into them.  Just a silly question why are we paying a dividend we,:,,tea gold miner not a bank take the money and buy back shares instead maybe the stock will start to rise?

I'm thinking they don't want to upset some income investors, but seems at these prices, the company is better off reducing its share count. I'd agree with that.

Ii will bet my left nut a reverse split will be announced soon.. 1 new for 5 old should do it and suspend divy or eliminate it all together.... 2400 gold does not move that many shares... better  gold companies like EGO to invest in ...this thing is in reverse lol
