RE:Bellatrix a Hold on Zacks Updated after the NewsI wouldn't trust their current book value. Lots of oil and gas companies have been impairing assets and BXE has barely adjusted theirs. I don't think book value is even a good indicator for a company like BXE. It's easy to fall for a value trap when you just look at book value. I would look at EV/EBITDA, Net Debt/EBITDA, cash flow, and their 2P reserves and production rates. It's also good to monitor their interest coverage ratio.
