Where's the bow tie guy now?

LOL!! ....his picks are always duds, can't believe people actually take his advise seriously?!?!

As with any top pick.. you gotta give it more than a couple weeks. In this case entire sector has to turn around, and that doesn't happen over night. There are bullish signs forming however, so now would be the ideal time to park some new money. If it's still sitting down here a year from now... then you can ask that question.

I agree. Most of the debt the company has was incured to build the Alder Flats plant which will expand capacity by more than 100%  to 230MCF.It will become operational in March/April  They can also grow by 20% and still have  pipleline access. The plant is a big operational advantage. They are partners with Keyera. Balance sheet is improving a lot. Debt to cf has dropped from 7 to 4x ...more

I agree that BXE's balance sheet is looking better. However there is just so much natural gas out there, that it is almost a disadvantage for a "Canadian" company to produce the stuff. Not sure when this will change, but likely not soon enough for many companies out there who have worse balance sheets. No doubt it is going to get uglier before it gets better. On a high note....BXE ...more

All fair points. However dont forget production decreases over 30% a year if budgets stay the same. Long term  intutional investors looking at replacing reserves have to have that in there minds i would think..The float here is only 49million and book value is over $16. One guy posted recently he has been in over 15 takeovers. Could this be one? I dont know. Company is also extremely well ...more

1condor, your confidence re takout reflect similar prophecies made over the past 5 years or more.  I personally am hopeful that it doesn't happen, certainly not now, and that BXE have a chance to play out it hand for the next year or so. Depending on energy prices I'm optimistic and support the thinking in jaisri's post.

eagle1...I think the only hope for BXE now is a takeover. I am not a holder of the stock and will not be buy into the falling knife scenario...been there and done that before....the herd is running for the exits with new 52 week lows being taken out on a continuous basis. The bow tie guy is getting killed on his plays and every time I hear him his voice has an increasing sense of panic in it. I ...more

Pre consolidation this would be 30 cents. Looks like its headed back to penny stock status.

I don't think so guys(I don't own any shares) but this stock is cheap & I don't think it's a falling knife either! I think currently nat-gas in Canada is a horrible biz to be in. Pricing is pathetic and there is,no end to bad aeco pricing at the moment. But February looks like it will become Frigid throughout Canada, the eastern seaboard and the mid/west!!!! Hopefully it will ...more

Some interesting assessments and perspectives from the "Wait and Watch" crowd. Wish I were part of it instead of part of the "Hold and Hope" bunch. I like your post, FederalReserve, gives the "Hold and Hopers" hope.
