1) you'd have to believe that zinc-air batteries aren't a proven technology (they are). You can use zinc air batteries to store energy. This isn't new. Zinc8's novelty is their plan to commercialize them at large scale and mitigate the problems other zinc-air batteries have had at scale.
2) You have to believe everyone at NYPA is an idiot who got suckered. Ibid 3rd Derivative, Scale for ClimateTech, etc are also just as incapable of vetting Zinc8's submissions.
3) You have to believe utilities don't have a demand for long duration storage.
4) You have to believe the incoming Biden adminstration isn't going to make climate related agenda items a central them of the next few years.
If you believe all those things, then yes, Zinc8 isn't a good risk.
If you believe all those things, you probably need a urine test.
