June 14, 2006 TransAmerican Energy Inc. (TSX-V Symbol: TAE)
(“TransAmerican” or the “Company”) announces that we successfully cleaned out the previously drilled Ashland Rogers 10-4 well at Morton Field, Scott County, Mississippi to a depth of 14,700 feet and ran evaluation logs. A Baker-Atlas pulsed neutron log reveals over 300 feet of apparently undrained hydrocarbons in an interval immediately below previous perforations of 14342-48. Those perforations initially yielded over 600 barrels of oil per day in 1977.

Mr. Gilbert Talafuse, the Company’s geologist, reported that in addition to the above interval, numerous other zones appear to be productive in the well.

THIS IS WHAT PRODUCTION IS LIKE FROM 300 FEET OF PAY! 9 months trying (30 days actual pumped) produced 82 barrels!
