$PRT and threat detection following 9/11 I was reading up on threat detection, a rapidly growing industry, projected to reach a market value of $119B by 2022, and came across an article that discussed the impact 9/11 had on airport security.
Plymouth Rock Technologies ($PRT $PRT.c $PLRTF) was one of the companies mentioned for their enhanced shoe scanners that don't require flyers to take their shoes off when going through security. Their technology works to make us safer while minimizing the impact on civilians, such as the shoe scanner that was developed to minimize time and maximize efficiency.
Did some DD on $PRT after this, they commercialize scientific and engineering innovations for threat detection and unmanned technologies.
They recently announced they completed the qualification for ISO 9001: 2015. ISO is one of the most well-regarded standards in the world so this really stood out to me. They currently have three facilities across the UK and their next step is certifying their USA operation.
