PS I rarely share data from my modeling workups.

Today I changed my mind. Wanna feel good about your investment going foreword? My file is open today with respect to VFF -  Agraflora DD/intel/modeling. Please feel free to ask, and I will answer.  We can do this. Tex

What sort of EPS do you think Agra can reasonably pull off? What kind of EPS is needed to shift the needle at all here? Do you think they can ever encroach on a positive EBITDA in the next two years? Seems to me they keep buying assets that arent generating profits, and cant seem to turn them into any sort of profitable entity. I see many other companies starting to get things right on a smaller ...more

Mr. Mars, My offer was to share FACTs, unembellished, and verifiable ,into similarities between VFF and Agraflora.  Your diatribe begs for unsupportable guesses at moving targets. The data set does not exist yet to extrapolate accurate financial predictions.  You know this. I always tell the truth, even when I lie (TM). Your posting complains of unprofitable aquisitions. Did you ...more

So what you're saying is you dont care to take a stab at potential EPS numbers, which are certainly quanifiable given baseline data is out there on, you know... the companies that are growing and selling... Last time people said I should compare them to the big boys... So lets do that. (Aphria - sold 7,602 kg in the quarter, up 18% QoQ. And 5,567 was to the adult use market (Agra does ...more

Amazing. No Mr. Mars, I will not "take a stab at potential" and publish an EPS guess on this board.  I outlined my offer to compare Village Farms to Agraflora very succinctly.   Village Farms and Agraflora similarities are my post topic. No guesses about anything. You made it a point to totally ignore my offer. Solid, helpful, factual analysis. Free and in good spirit.   ...more

Texan,  Thats fair, upon my first message I didnt realize you were simply offering to do comparative analysis on AGRA to Village Farms. And I apologize for that. I didnt/wont take you up on the comparison between the two as I hold no interest in Village Farms and have no intention on placing further bets in this market as I feel I have a big enough exposure to companies with good ...more

VFF is highly regarded as the top grower in Canada!  If we can be close or considered with VFF as a premier grower that would be HUGE!!! Lets hope we have the success of VFF - although the grower is in a dispute with their partner and likely to force a  buy out with  the partner - that is something we can worry about in 2021!!
Comment by TheTexan on Jan 17, 2020 9:01pm
Is huge. Both are Pro Veggie growers with decades of experience.  The knowledge transfers, the location is same, and so much more.  We are behind the curve, but we get a fresh start in a fresh facility.  VFF is, as you said, having partnership issues, which can kill sucess.  Captain Mike is strong willed. Village farms is the model.
