Poda took 5 years to get US Patent - Huge AdvantageI was reading the press releaes of January 13, 2022 where Poda obtained their US Patent for the only Closed Bottom Vaporizer Pod in the USA and what struck me was that the application was originally filed on March 17, 2017.
It took almost 5 years to get the patent.
This gives Poda a huge advantage over its competitors. Phillipp Morris wants to re-enter the USA with their own version of a IQOS pod which will be without patent protection, meaning anyone can copy them. If they want a similar patent then they will need to wait 5 years.
This gives a HUGE ADVANTAGE to Poda.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why Philipp Morris is not approaching Poda given their dire situation. It is such a no brainer. Phillipp Morris would get a better product, protection from patent and, immediate entry back into the USA.
Do they not like money???
