I too have recently practiced the art of selling my holdings while being convinced that the stock price will rise substantially. Sold to buy another that will allow me to buy back in and own a lot more then what I recently sold. I have calculated a decent price rise in VGW from here to attain my goal. If the price doesn't go to that high then I will buy even more. If it rises I still get my larger holding here. It's all about DD, being invested in more then one stock and understanding what is coming (through DD and experience) and timing.
