Alternate Symbol(s):  BEVVF

Bee Vectoring Technologies International Inc. is a Canada-based agriculture technology company. The Company is focused on the control of pests and enhancement of crops and ornamentals through the use of biological controls in a variety of application processes. It has commercialized a patented and patent pending technology specifically designed to utilize bees as natural delivery mechanisms for a variety of powdered mixtures comprised of organic compounds or used products which inhibit or eliminate common crop diseases, while at the same time promoting the growth of the same crops. Its technology, precision vectoring, is completely harmless to bees and allows minute amounts of naturally derived pesticides to be delivered directly to blooms, providing improved crop protection and yield results than traditional chemical pesticides. Growers face many challenges when it comes to managing diseases during bloom, when crops are especially susceptible to attack by pathogens. Current practices of bloom sprays are costly, inefficient, and may miss unopened blooms between sprays. Bee Vectoring Technology (BVT) has developed a system that harnesses the existing activity of commercial pollinators by leveraging entomovectoring. The system employs patented inoculum dispensers in which commercial honeybees or bumblebees pick up our product, VectoriteTM with CR-7, and subequently deliver it directly to the blooms in the crop. This process uses far less product for treating blooms (about 5 grams per acre) compared to conventional bloom sprays. Entomovectoring also uses no heavy machinery or water while minimizing off-target movement into environmentally sensitive areas.
