the DOR news

the DOR newslets see how the market reacts Wednesday?? VAL-D'OR, March 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Dianor Resources Inc. (DOR: TSX Venture Exchange) is pleased to inform its shareholders that it has received diamond results from the Saskatchewan Research Council's (SRC) laboratory for split NQ and full BQ core from drill hole Chab. 05-12. << Caustic fusion results for drill hole Chab 05-12 by lithology ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rock Length Weight Sieve aperture in Microns (*) ---------------------------------- Type From To metres kgs +75 +106 +150 +212 +300 +425 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 42.67 76.43 33.76 68.55 53 31 19 5 3 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 129.50 198.93 69.43 158.60 92 76 39 36 11 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 202.50 417.15 214.65 533.45 1217 731 440 309 164 87 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOTAL 317.84 760.60 1362 838 498 350 178 93 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rock Sieve aperture in Microns (*) TOTAL ------------------------------ Type +600 +850 +1180 DIAMONDS ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 0 0 0 112 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 2 0 0 261 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DBR 40 12 7 3008 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOTAL 42 12 7 3381 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (*) 1000 microns equals 1 millimeter - BR equals Leadbetter Diamond Bearing Conglomerate - NQ (47.6mm) drill core from 9.7 to 313.5 metres, core split and only half core tested for diamonds by caustic fusion. - BQ (36.5mm) drill core from 313.5 metres to end of drill hole at 429 metres. Full core tested for diamonds by caustic fusion. - A total of 155 samples (88 NQ + 67 BQ) caustically fused to recover diamonds. - Largest diamond, not included in the above table as it was recovered from the +1700 Micron screen, measured 2.24 mm x 1.60 mm x 1.46 mm and weighed 0.062 carats and is described as amber, included dodecahedron. Drill hole Chab 05-12 is located 200 metres to the east of drill hole Chab 05-11 along the east-west fence of holes commencing with Chab 05-08. Results from these four drill holes (press releases of September 22, November 21, December 22, 2005, January 23, 2006) indicate that diamonds are persistent throughout the Leadbetter conglomerate along the drilled fence for a distance of 800 metres in an east-west direction. Diamond results from a further three drill holes (Chab 05 - 13; 05 - 14 and 05 - 19) drilled to the east of Chab 05 - 12 are awaited. Results will be released when received from SRC. This was followed by a 33.76 metre interval (from 42.67 to 76.43 m), which intersected the Leadbetter conglomerate. Split core from this interval contained 112 diamonds. Underlying this, (from 76.43 to 129.50 m), a succession of intercalated sediments and volcanics was intersected and found to carry 1 diamond. Below this, from 129.50 to 198.93 metres down the hole (69.43 m intercept), the Leadbetter conglomerate was intersected. Caustic fusion results indicate that this interval contained 261 diamonds. Below this interval a thin (3.57 m) sandstone unit was intercepted, containing 1 diamond. Then from 202.5 to 417.15 metres the Leadbetter conglomerate was intersected. Split NQ and full BQ core from this interval contained 3,008 diamonds. Drill hole Chab 05-12 ended in a siltstone-sandstone unit, which contained no diamonds. Results of the caustic fusion diamond recovery continue to demonstrate the persistently diamondiferous nature of the conglomerate. The occurrence of larger sized diamonds (commercial size greater than 0.85mm) in the small samples of split NQ and full BQ drill core is very encouraging. The diamond results from the first five drill holes, drilled in the Northern sector of the Leadbetter Diamond property, are nearly identical to those recovered from similar sized samples taken from surface bedrock in the vicinity of the drill holes during the due diligence phase of the exploration (press release February 14th 2005). These early diamond results from the drilling in conjunction with the surface diamond results also indicate diamond continuity through the conglomerate both laterally and at depth in this area of the Northern Sector. Processing of the mini-bulk samples through the DMS (Density Media Separation) plant at SGS Lakefield continues with the first results expected by end-April.
