Christmas cheer ... Santa's non-promise ... Here is a good one ... enjoy ...
A friend of mine was "playing Santa" at the local mall.
I took my young grandson downtown so he could vist
with Santa.
They seemed to spend a lot of time talking.
When he came back he said that Santa said that this
would be a great Christmas for him ... that he would
get lots of very expensive presents on Christmas
morning. Santa even had the gall to enumerate them.
My grandson was so excited ...
But then he said that Santa had a special Christmas
present for his grandpa too.
My grandson didn't understand - he paused - looked
me in the eyes - and then asked me - what's a "KWG"?.
I asked why?
My GS said that Santa told him to tell his GP that
"KWG" would hit 5 by Christmas day. ...
Then he added ... I can't promise your grandfather
that it will stay that high for very long. But you tell him
that for me ... Okay?
What did he mean by that grandpa - my grandson
asked?
Oh the Joy's of Christmas non-promises ...
(the ones you can't keep - like giving a young
and lovely a ring on Christmas eve - but
never talking to her thereafter).
If you can't trust Santa - who can you trust?
Certainly not your friend! (Nor ... the TSX.V.)
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you longs ...
Let's stick together for a bit longer!
P.S. ... Here is some good advise: Never ever
give your friends your credit card - not even for a
few minutes! ! And, never take your grandkids to
vist your Saint Nicholas friends! It maybe the end
of a long friendship. Remember too at Christmas
time - friends (when given the opportunity)
become like the government ... at least with
your money ... (and your grandkids money too)
and we all know what that is!
