Drainages leading away from the A48-A52-A53 locations and related to the Rio BroCos and Vai Vem Rivers have produced significant amounts of microdiamonds from stream sediment samples. The exact location of each sample is carefully selected so that the concentration of heavy mineral fractions is at a maximum. One such sample, which is estimated to be 100 kilograms, yielded 0.91 carats of micro-diamonds. Another sample of 100 kilograms yielded 0.29 carats. This sample had a diamond count of 258.
0.91 carats from 100kilos translates to an average of 9.1 carats per ton, and 0.29 carats (258 diamonds) per 100kilos translates to 2.90 carats per ton including 2580 micro diamonds!
I don't understand why they don't drill 200 meters in the center of one of those pipes and send the full core for caustic fusion, and let the lab report on the full 200 meters...
