Question

I'm looking at the new direction for OH and from what I can see the focus for the business model is now on distribution. What I am not sure on is how this focus will play out in the long run? I can see this how this plays well in the current fragmented network, but whay happens when MJ is federally legal and large players come in with pre-existing distribution networks. On a national and international level. There are also large distribution solutions that solve the problem of wharehousing (IE FedEx and UPS) and players large enough have their own solutions (IE Walmart and other pharmacy and retail players) Anyone have a more indepth understanding of the new plan?

You clearly don’t have any idea how cannabis distribution works let alone in the State if California OH is one of the biggest cannabis distributors in North America right now!   The California market is that big.  You cannot transport or distribute products in California without a state approved license.  OH has them and they also own proprietary distribution software which is ...more

lol and why some respond with such a helpful attitude! I get that under the current restrictions OH has it locked down and yes I do not understand the model hence the question. What happens if the laws change and MJ isn't a Cat 1 won't established methods then have access to distribution of MJ? Why would it remain a restricted lisense network once legal everywhere ? An ignorant man has the ...more

It will likely follow a similar model to the three tier system currently used by alcohol. Wikipedia- Three Tier System I think you are concering yourself too much with the aspect of distribution. That is one facet of Origin House. By acting as the distributor they also collect taxes on behalf of the state. Under a federal framework it will still likely fall back to the states in how to get it to ...more

Thanks for the insight, branding down south is quite something! I missed the last entry point at the ticker change and am trying to gather as much info as I can as to decide on a new entry point. I thought the ticker change was all about rebranding a new direction for the company as a distributer that's why I am trying to see the way ahead. Great to get the perspective of someone already ...more

You are right. I shouldn't have been critical. My apologies. Here is a great read for why distributors are so important in the State of California. https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/article/4-things-your-distributor-wants-you-to-know-cannabis-cultivator/ Also, if you go to the website and click on distributing brands link it gives you more insight. Cheers

@oldweed , make sure you  are in. It don't matter  if it's at 7or 8 or 9 when they trade in the future at a multiple.
